For 10,000 euros you buy software that makes an employee twice as effective. You used to have to hire two employees.
For 1,000 euros you can buy graphics card (GPU) that can do as much as the most powerful computer of 20 years ago.
For 100 euros rent a year of 1 terabyte of cloud storage, you used to get 1 GB for that
For 1 euro a month you can put a website online, including a domain.
The point is:
Today’s SMEs have access to supercomputers and tools that cost a fraction of the price they used to be, sometimes 100× cheaper.
Isn’t it strange that sometimes we are still working with software from 20 years ago?
PS Why two more employees for double output? This is because of The Law of Diminishing Returns. This does NOT apply to software 😉
